Liturgy Commission

                 Mission:  To aid in educating the parish towards con-celebratory experience through participation, to assist the clergy and staff in preparing liturgy and music that allows spiritual development of the Parish and parishioners, and to assess its effectiveness.

The Liturgy Commission is composed of the Clergy, staff members including the Choirmaster and the Lay Ministry Coordinator (schedules Chalice Bearers, Lectors, and Prayers-of-the-People leaders for our Eucharistic services), Vergers (assist in the planning and conduct of services in the Cathedral, especially the lay participation therein), and representatives of various other ministries and services, such as the Altar Guild, Ushers, Lay Eucharistic Visitors, Wedding Coordinator, and others involved in various aspects of our worship services.

The Commission meets monthly to review and assess recent Liturgies, plan future ones, conduct training sessions for Chalice Bearers, Lectors, Prayers-of-the-People leaders, and Lay Eucharistic Visitors, and coordinate the scheduling of various special services and events.
