Catechesis of the Good Shepherd
The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is a method of formation which is based on a profound respect for the religious potential of a child and an understanding of their spiritual and developmental needs.
This catechesis uses the bible and the liturgy as its primary source of bringing the child into direct contact with the mysteries of our faith.
The prepared place for the child to live out his or her relationship with God is call the Atrium. This environment contains hands-on materials that relate to the Liturgy, the life of Christ, and many parables. The Atrium is a place for the adults and children to gather together for community and worship. For more information on the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd or if you are interested in volunteering just 2 to 4 Sundays once a year, please contact Kim Sewell 601-368-9340 or Ruth Fletcher 601-898-0339.
